Stephen is a Client Services Manager, overseeing a portfolio of company and trust administration engagements providing corporate, accounting and governance services to funds and special purpose vehicles involved in international finance, debt restructuring and other alternative investment activities. Stephen also oversees the provision of specialized services to clients that are required to demonstrate economic substance in the Cayman Islands.

Prior to joining Paget-Brown, Stephen was a Senior Vice President in the Client Accounting Division of the Maples Group, overseeing the preparation of financial reporting for a diverse range of Investment structures for international clients including CLO’s, CDO’s, funds, Islamic finance, and complex trust structures.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with medium-sized accounting firm in the UK, specializing in high net worth individuals and landed estates, Stephen relocated to the Cayman Islands in 2004 to join Close Brothers where he became a Senior Trust Officer.

Stephen earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry and Genetics before becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 2002. He became a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 2008, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in 2012 and recently qualified as an Accredited Director under the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
